The scholarship recipients include 11 students from the University of the Philippines Diliman and 15 from regional partner institutions: Aurora State College of Technology, Benguet State University, Bohol Island State University, Central Mindanao University, and Davao Oriental State University. During the scholars’ orientation program, Insular Foundation Executive Director Ana Soriano expressed optimism about the impact of the scholarship grants. She emphasized that the program aims to help students achieve their dreams and improve their lives, with the hope that they will use their acquired knowledge and skills to benefit their families and communities.

Speaking on behalf of the scholars, UP Diliman student Blessilyn Ramos thanked the Foundation for easing their financial burden and empowering them with the gift of education. She highlighted the privilege of accessing quality education, opportunities for professional growth, and a supportive community, which motivates them to persevere despite challenges and become more conscious of the impact they can create.

Bohol Island State University student Charity Joy Roma shared that the scholarship grant motivates her to study harder and inspires her to give back to others someday. She acknowledged the scholarship’s role in providing the means to focus on her studies and strive toward her dreams, emphasizing the power of community and generosity in transforming lives.

Since the Gold Eagle College Scholarship Program’s relaunch in 2008, the Insular Foundation has supported 134 students in completing their college education. The program not only provides financial assistance but also offers scholars access to leadership training, career summits, and other capacity-building programs, preparing them to become future leaders and professionals who can contribute significantly to society.
