The Thrill of Racing: Uncovering the Next Generation of Filipino Champions

For young aspiring racers, the thrill of speed and competition is an intoxicating rush. And for those with a passion for two wheels, the 2025 Honda Pilipinas Dream Cup (HPDC) is the ultimate opportunity to test their skills and chase their dreams.

Hosted by Honda Philippines, Inc., this esteemed competition has been uncovering the next generation of Filipino racing champions since its inception in 2017. This year, the HPDC is open to talented riders aged 10 to 15 years old, who are eager to take their skills to the next level.

The program is designed for riders with prior track experience, providing a platform for them to hone their abilities and fuel their passion for the sport. At the heart of the HPDC experience is the iconic Honda CBR150R, a bike renowned for its agility, precision, and high performance.

Riders will have the chance to get behind the handlebars of this one-make bike, gaining invaluable experience and sharpening their skills as they strive to become competitive racers. But what sets the HPDC apart is the expertise and guidance of some of the most legendary riders and coaches in the world.

Dashi Watanabe, a renowned rider and racing coach in the Philippines, and Mr. Shigeki Honda, an exceptional legendary icon from HARC-PRO, will be joined by other international legends, including Mr. Makoto Tamada, the Team Manager of Honda Asia Dream Racing (HADR) and a former MotoGP rider.

Together, they will select the top 12 riders who will participate in the HPDC, providing them with a head start in their racing careers. For these young riders, the HPDC is more than just a competition – it’s a gateway to endless opportunities. Through the program, they will gain the skills, discipline, and exposure required to compete on the global stage.

And for Honda Philippines, Inc., the HPDC is a chance to continue its mission to discover and nurture Filipino racing talent. The 2025 HPDC Try-Outs promise to be an exciting and intense competition, as young riders from all over the country vie for a spot in the program.

But for those who are selected, the real journey is just beginning. They will embark on a journey of discovery, growth, and development, with the ultimate goal of becoming professional racers. The thrill of racing is in their blood, and with the HPDC, they will have the chance to turn their dreams into a reality.
