PlayTime and Gawad Kalinga Join Forces to Build Vibrant Playgrounds Across the Philippines

PlayTime, the nation’s leading online gaming platform, has announced an inspiring partnership with the Gawad Kalinga Community Development Foundation, Inc. (GK), a respected non-profit organization focused on eradicating poverty and empowering communities in the Philippines. This collaboration, driven by PlayTime’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, PlayTime CARES (Community Action, Relief, Empowerment, and Sustainability), aims to bring joy and unity through the creation of PlayTime Playgrounds within GK communities.

The PlayTime Playgrounds initiative will provide safe, inclusive play spaces for children and families. Designed to encourage active lifestyles and community bonding, each playground will feature an exciting Obstacle Course Racing (OCR) area. These interactive setups aim to promote resilience, teamwork, and physical fitness, fostering a sense of togetherness across all age groups.

The project will kick off in three pilot locations: Cavite City, Quezon City, and Cebu City. Starting in 2025, the initiative will expand nationwide, with more PlayTime Playgrounds planned for communities across the country. This effort reflects PlayTime’s dedication to making a meaningful social impact by promoting health, unity, and accessible recreation.

Gawad Kalinga, a leader in community-building efforts that range from housing to livelihood and education, shares this vision of creating empowered, thriving neighborhoods. Together, PlayTime and GK hope to bring sustainable and transformative benefits to Filipino communities.

Partnering with Gawad Kalinga allows us to give back by creating spaces that inspire joy, connection, and physical wellness,” shared Jay Sabale, Senior PR Manager at PlayTime. “We believe these playgrounds will not only encourage active play but also teach children the values of teamwork, problem-solving, and resilience while offering families a safe and welcoming environment to come together.”

This collaboration between PlayTime and Gawad Kalinga exemplifies the power of shared purpose in building stronger, healthier communities. Through PlayTime Playgrounds, both organizations aim to foster an enduring legacy of joy and unity across the Philippines.
