SM Supermalls employee-volunteers go to the barangays to distribute Kalinga Packs to the  community.

Typhoon Kristine significantly impacted communities across Luzon, presenting numerous challenges for those affected. In response to this crisis, the SM Group swiftly mobilized its resources to provide immediate assistance and support to the people in need.To facilitate their disaster response efforts, the SM Group launched Operation Tulong Express (OPTE), enlisting the help of SM Supermalls, SM Foundation, and SM Markets. A dedicated team of employee-volunteers has been actively involved in distributing over 25 million pesos worth of Kalinga Packs.

These efforts have reached more than 314,000 individuals and 62,000 families throughout Luzon and the National Capital Region (NCR), supplying essential items to aid in their recovery. The Kalinga Packs contain vital supplies that are crucial for families as they work to rebuild their lives in the aftermath of the typhoon.
