In anticipation of the Metro Manila Film Festival’s (MMFF) 50th anniversary, City of Dreams Manila hosted a ceremonial contract signing, marking the beginning of a historic collaboration between MMFF and the Manila International Film Festival (MIFF).

This event signifies a significant milestone, promising an extraordinary year for the Philippine entertainment industry. As part of MMFF’s golden celebration, City of Dreams Manila has been named the Official Event Partner for the highly anticipated Golden Gala, scheduled for November 11, 2024.

This prestigious event will showcase the best of Philippine cinema, with a distinguished audience of celebrities, industry leaders, and global film personalities coming together for an evening of glamour, entertainment, and philanthropy.

The Movie Workers Welfare Foundation, Inc. (MOWELFUND), represented by Chairwoman Boots Anson Roa, played a pivotal role in the event, highlighting its continued commitment to supporting workers in the Philippine film industry.

MOWELFUND’s presence reinforced the social and cultural significance of the partnership. Distinguished guests from MMFF, MIFF, and their brand and media partners attended the signing, including Chairman Romando S. Artes of the MMDA, Atty. Rochelle Macapili-Ona from MMFF, and Raul Putong of MIFF.
